SAO Project Coordinator (799012)

Pay rate: $32.35 per hour

Temp ( 2 mnths)

Job location: 200 Piedmont Avenue SE Suite 1604 West Tower Atlanta Georgia 30334-9010

Hours: 8 hours daily/5 days weekly (hybrid position)


Job Description:

Under project manager supervision applies project management knowledge skills tools and techniques in supporting the State Accounting Offices (SAO) NextGen Project (Workday Implementation) activities and project coordinator is responsible for tracking project activities and tasks for a specific business suite or multiple workstreams. This includes but is not limited to scheduling and attending meetings capturing and disseminating meeting minutes receiving project documents and compiling a summary aiding in the development of communication material such as emails newsletters or PowerPoint presentation updating project schedules and RAID log.

Local Candidates only as they will be required to be onsite.

While the intent may be a long-term tenure this position is subject to annual budget restrictions. The initial contract is through the end of this fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed July 1st.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Coordinates schedules and attends project related meetings.

2. Transcribes and disseminates project meeting minutes.

3. Documents tracks and receives project documentation and deliverables.

4. Send follow-ups as necessary to ensure project activities are completed in a timely manner.

5. Shares information and updates with project team members as relevant to project activities.

6. Documents and tracks project risks issues action items and decisions as part of the project management activities.

7. Assist PM in developing necessary documents presentations or reports

8. Follow-up and track project statuses and update the project tracking system with pertinent information

9. Create project related reports from the project work breakdown structure

10. Work with PMs on documenting project scope and high-level requirements

11. Disseminate information related to project schedules.

12. Coordinate NextGen quality review and steering committee meetings. Capture notes and action items and disseminate as appropriate

13. Ensure all project-related artifacts are stored in the proper location within the NextGen Project SharePoint site.

14. Assist in tracking monitoring and communicating project-related issues scope changes variances and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of the NextGen Project.

15. Maintain effective communication and working relationships with project team members

16. Other responsibilities added per managements discretion

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of IT related experience. OR an Associates degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of IT related experience. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience that provided the knowledge experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prefer experience using Microsoft Project or Microsoft Project Online.

2. Experienced in using Outlook Visio and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)

3. Excellent written oral and presentation skills

4. Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills

5. Ability to communicate to management business and technical personnel

6. Ability to work through conflict

7. An eye for detail and excellent grammar

8. Ability to multitask
