Feldkamp Enterprises Inc. a Marsden Company is a trusted non-union mechanical contractor based in Cincinnati Ohio. We specialize in commercial and industrial HVAC installation retrofit and mechanical systems. Our team is growingand were looking for Project Estimator to join our plumbing team.
The Project Estimator Plumbing will support the Senior Plumbing Estimator. This role is responsible for reviewing construction documents performing accurate material takeoffs and preparing cost estimates for plumbing systems in commercial and large multi-use projects. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills industry knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers suppliers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review plans specifications and contract documents to understand project scope and requirements
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for plumbing valves fittings and related components
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates including labor materials and equipment
- Source pricing from vendors and suppliers; maintain updated pricing databases
- Identify scope gaps discrepancies and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and procurement teams during preconstruction and bidding phases
- Prepare and submit bid proposals and supporting documentation
- Track and manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Assist with change orders cost tracking and project budgeting as needed
- Maintain organized records of estimates drawings and communications
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in plumbing estimating takeoffs or a related field
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems valves fittings and materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools
- Solid understanding of construction costs and market pricing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with mechanical/plumbing contractors or suppliers
- Trimble Autobid Mechanical experience is a plus
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes and standards
- Field work with plumbing
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional site visits as needed

Schedule
- Full-time exempt 40 hours/week
- Typical workday is 7:00am 4:00pm
