HVAC-R Estimator

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be able to review project plans and specifications prepare accurate estimates coordinate with vendors and subcontractors and support project managers throughout the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC-R cost estimates for construction projects
• Review project plans specifications drawings and contract documents
• Develop accurate pricing strategies based on labor materials equipment and subcontractor costs
• Use Bluebeam for digital takeoffs plan review markups and document management
• Coordinate with project managers engineers clients vendors and subcontractors
• Gather supplier and subcontractor pricing to support competitive bids
• Assist with bid preparation proposal development and scope clarification
• Support contract administration by reviewing agreements and project requirements
• Maintain accurate records of bids estimates change orders contracts and project documentation
• Assist with cost control by tracking budgets and identifying potential cost overruns
• Support project teams with procurement scheduling and project coordination as needed
• Use construction site knowledge to identify field conditions that may impact cost labor or timelines
• Manage multiple bids and projects while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating preferably with a focus on HVAC-R systems
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC-R plans specifications technical drawings and contract documents
• Strong proficiency with Bluebeam for takeoffs markups and plan review
• Understanding of construction contracts project coordination and cost control
• Experience gathering pricing from suppliers vendors and subcontractors
• Knowledge of HVAC-R materials equipment labor requirements and installation methods
• Construction site or field experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills for working with project managers clients engineers vendors and field teams
• Experience with construction management or estimating software is a plus
