Job Description
As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol Guard in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom Shelter and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic tech media telecom and shelter location where you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer service and this people-first role you will bring agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity to every shift while supporting a welcoming environment for all.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures following post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including common areas entrances exits hallways and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies helping to verify authorized entry direct residents and guests and report unusual behavior and/or policy violations.
- Support a professional environment at a shelter and technology-focused location by assisting with de-escalation addressing disruptions with professionalism and communicating clearly with staff residents visitors and emergency responders when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
