This is a part-time position up to 30 hours per week.
As a Case Aide you will assist case management personnel to provide case management services to families who are experiencing this role you will providesupport and resources for crisis intervention and counseling services toprogram participants and help them to develop goals focused on improving stability and self-sufficiency. You will answer client questions provide linkage to appropriate community resources and advocacyaccompany residents to view apartments andprovide information and other resources to client families regarding housekeeping care of property parenting issues andneeds assessment. You will help casemanagement services staff conduct follow up services to clients who have graduated from LSS housing programs and maintain client files records reports and case notes. You will also assist with funding reports grant writing and site visits.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience in providing direct or indirect social services.
- Training and/or experience working with homeless or low-income households is desired.
- A valid drivers license acceptable driving record and a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Flexibility and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively positively and professionally with participants providers family members and others often from very diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work well independently with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to perform non-traditional tasks while meeting participant needs.
- Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques chemical dependency treatment physical or sexual abuse treatment.
- Knowledge of the Harm Reduction/Housing First model and commitment to that model.
