Job Summary
If you have experience with construction installation and fabrication of form structures of wood patent form systems or a combination of both and if youre committed to safety and quality this opportunity could be a great fit for you! Additionally the role qualifies for per diem when per diem requirements are met.
SUMMARY
The Carpenter constructs erects installs fabricates dismantles and repairs structures formwork and fixtures of wood metal forms and associated accessories.
JOB DUTIES
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules as well as OSHA standards
- Read and interpret drawings
- Cut and shape materials and join them with nails screws bolts or glue
- Check completed units to ensure they are level square plumb and meet required specifications
- Build and assemble concrete forms
- Build and assemble shelters for welding and other weather sensitive work
- Attend required safety and toolbox meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- One to four years of experience as an Apprentice or Journeyman Carpenter
- Ability to complete work accurately and follow all safety procedures
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Organized and self-motivated
Pre-employment drug testing alcohol screening and background check are required as a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements
- Must comply with company drug and alcohol policy
- Ability to pass physical examination as required
- Ability to climb ladders scaffolding and maintain balance
- Ability to stoop kneel crouch crawl and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance recommended for heavier items
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces such as dirt concrete asphalt mud or gravel
Work Environment
- Work is performed at an active construction jobsite in Sherman Texas
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat cold wind and rain
- Fast paced safety driven environment with strict adherence to OSHA and site protocols
- Regular interaction with craft professionals supervisors and site leadership
- Requires use of personal protective equipment including hard hat safety glasses gloves stee
