Minimum Qualifications
- Collegiate professional with endorsement in special education visual impairment.
- Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) preferred.
- Eligible for or in possession of appropriate Virginia teaching license.
- Transcription of student materials as well as continuous walking carrying bending sitting standing stooping lifting and driving.
- Work involves risk at times from interaction with special needs students which may include accompanying emotional or physical impairments requiring special techniques.
- Must use universal precautions at avoiding contagious disease.
- Employee in this position must display a great deal of flexibility creativity and initiative.

Maintainsaclearconciseandtimelyrecordkeepingsystem.

Collectsdatatodemonstrateeducationalprogressofstudents.
Preparesinstructionalmaterialsforstudentuse.
Supervisesstudentsintheclassroomgeneralschoolbuildingandcommunity.
