Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to serve as the Assistant Director Policy andAnalytics (P&A) Unit and primary pharmacy-related policy expert for the Office ofPharmacy Services (OPS). This includes oversight of pharmacy related policies andrequires high level pharmacy expertise to initiate plan design and execute strategicprojects utilizing drug utilization trends cost containment measures budgetforecasting national and regional policies in order to develop drug coverage policiesby the Program. This position oversees the functions of the P&A Unit the PharmacistsProfessional Services (PPS) and the Clinical Services (CS) Divisions.

This position is eligible for hybrid telework.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess the following:
  1. A valid Maryland Pharmacist license from the MD Board of Pharmacy
  2. A Doctorate degree (Pharm D) in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university
  3. Six (6) years of professional management experience including a minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising other professional staff
  4. Three (3) years of professional experience in clinical pharmacy and one of the following: overseeing and coordinating the general operation of a unit data analytics applying rules and regulations or exercising responsibility for the development of policies and procedures
  5. Two (2) years of experience in monitoring emerging drug technologies as well as recommending and implementing drug coverage policiesORTwo (2) years of experience in developing drug coverage policies using drug utilization cost budget limitations and national/regional policies related to pharmacy services
  6. Two (2) years of Outcome/Cost-based studies experience
  7. Two (2) years of experience planning initiating and implementing innovative ideas in the Pharmacy arena

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Desired candidates should be a self-starter and self-motivated and have experience creating maintaining and managing drug pipeline reports (minimum of two years); experience with pharmacological data analytics; and Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPSW) certification.

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess a valid Maryland Pharmacist license from the MD Board of Pharmacy and Board of Pharmacy. Please upload your license and certification to the application.
