Responsibilities
Coordinates the daily activities of assigned departments including: staff & student orientation training competency checks scheduling & e-time. Acts as liaison between assigned departments patient care units and other medical personnel. Assists leadership with performance improvement activities. Works with age groups defined by clinical competency which may include neonate infant pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric populations. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients families medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
1. B.S. degree or higher from an accredited school in Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy or Masters degree or higher from an accredited school in Speech/Language Pathology or Audiology.
2. Licensed by the appropriate Georgia State Board.
3. ASHA CCC for SLP required or if an Audiologist must meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology granted by the ASHA by either currently holding or previously holding certification.
4. Three (3) years experience in licensed discipline with at least one (1) year experience in a hospital environment.
5. Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
6. Must demonstrate ability to effectively coordinate and direct activities procedures and personnel.
7. Knowledgeable in rehab regulations billing and reimbursement and CMS guidelines (example G-Codes).
8. Must be certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups.
PREFERRED:
1. Previous supervisory experience.
