Security Consultant, Projects and Architecture
Job Summary
Position Description:
The Project and Architecture Security Consultant is responsible for certain key functions within the Payroll Service Centers (PSC) Security and Fraud Management team including supporting projects in integrating security advising on architecture security physical security and assisting with incident management. He or she reports to the CSPs Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
This position requires strong communication teaching and leadership skills as well as cybersecurity knowledge to carry out the various responsibilities. The CSP processes payroll for several thousand companies across Canada and is therefore a critical operator for the Canadian economy.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting projects in the integration of security
- Consulting on architecture security
- Physical security
- Incident management support
Supporting projects in security integration
- Participate in select IT projects to provide expertise and develop security and fraud management deliverables: security classification project risk analyses security recommendations architecture validation participation in strategic project decisions security test plans and monitoring of project vulnerabilities.
- Maintain and update the registry of risks and vulnerabilities arising from projects.
Architecture security consulting
- Provide security expertise and advice to IT teams on enterprise architecture and architecture related to IT projects.
Physical security
- Facility management is the responsibility of another person but it is necessary to provide expertise and assistance in the event of an incident or emergency
- Conduct regular clean desk reviews
- Observe and suggest improvements during evacuation drills or other physical security exercises
- Participate in various projects related to physical security.
Incident Management Support
- Provide support and handle certain security incidents: investigation containment corrective actions communication management incident documentation and post-incident analysis.
The Security Consultant for Projects and Architecture may also assist with or lead any related tasks assigned by their manager.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelors degree in risk management cybersecurity computer science or related fields
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences senior management and operational staff
- Fluent in French (written and spoken); functional English required
- Ability to work under pressure in a critical environment
- Strong organizational planning and prioritization skills
- Ability to anticipate risks and propose concrete solutions
- High degree of autonomy while working effectively as part of a team with rigor and diplomacy.
CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This range is calculated based on various factors including skill level geographic market experience education and professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are based on the specifics of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60000 and $115000. This position is currently open.

We are seeking individuals with expertise in IT architect-related functions but licensure from an architect regulator is not a prerequisite for this position.
