Petro Pool Custodian (Seasonal)

Under the supervision of the Aquatic Director the Petro Pool Custodian at the YMCA of Central Massachusetts will create a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while in the performance of cleaning and general maintenance activities.

The Community Pool is open from June 22nd to August 16th. Hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-5:00pm (hours are subject to change with extra programming). A regular schedule will be provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for overall maintenance and cleaning of the Petro Pool grounds; restrooms changing areas storage areas lifeguard area and the grounds around the facility.
• Tasks include but are not limited to trash disposal dispenser filling toilet and sink cleaning hosing down the deck and other general maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety regulations in accordance with the YMCA of Central MA OSHA and the Model Aquatic Health Code.
• Report any problems repairs or supplies to Aquatic Director.
• Responsible for end-of-day closure and next-day preparation.
• Receives and carries out instructions
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times; wear clothing that meets the YMCA dress code.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• General knowledge of custodial/maintenance procedures.
• Ability to follow directions work with minimal supervision follow a schedule and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Must be 18 years old

Job Type: (Seasonal)

Schedule: Hours will vary. Looking to staff shifts for the following: Monday-Friday from 9am- 6pm and Saturdays/Sundays 11am-5pm.

Pay: $16.00/hour. Plus access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees Employee Assistance Program & Sick Leave.
