The position:

Accounting Technician - Accounts Receivable: Managing the billing process processing sales orders and ensuring accuracy in financial records. They play a crucial role in maintaining cash flow by ensuring invoices are sent correctly and on time.

Responsibilities:

Invoicing:Generating checking and sending invoices to customers based on sales agreements and shipping documents.
Data Entry:Entering updating and maintaining customer information and transaction data in company systems (e.g. ERP systems).
Reconciliation:Reconciling sales orders shipping logs and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy.
Discrepancy Resolution:Identifying and correcting billing discrepancies such as price or quantity errors.
Payment Follow-up:Following up with clients regarding outstanding payments.
Documentation:Maintaining accurate filing systems (physical or electronic) for invoices and receipts.
Month end: support accounting staff with other accounting month end duties.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience:2 years in an administrative bookkeeping or data entry role.
Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in computer applications including accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle LN) and MS Office (especially Excel).
Attention to Detail:High accuracy in data entry to prevent financial discrepancies.
Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and internal departments.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

The compensation range for this position is $60 000 - $70 000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
