Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Aurora IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic transportation location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas support access activity and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and this role you will help to deter incidents through a visible presence while delivering outstanding customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a transportation location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas loading zones and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points vehicle traffic and/or visitor activity in accordance with site protocols assisting with entry procedures and directing individuals as needed.
- Support daily operations by communicating with staff visitors drivers and/or vendors providing information following post orders and reporting maintenance hazard and/or policy-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Experience with X-ray screening is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
