Job Summary
We are hiring a Constituent Services Representative for one of our clients in Trenton NJ.
Job Description:
Performs a variety of activities to support community outreach and engagement and constituent affairs for the NJ State Department of Human Services (DHS) such as but not limited to: serving as a representative at community outreach events statewide assisting the outreach team with event preparation assist DHS Constituent Affairs leadership and staff with assigned projects and tasks in day-to-day operations.
Job responsibilities in Brief
- Support community outreach and engagement and constituent affairs for the NJ State Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Serve as a representative at community outreach events statewide.
- Assist the outreach team with event preparation.
- Assist DHS Constituent Affairs leadership and staff with assigned projects and tasks in day-to-day operations.
- Acts as the representative by answering casework correspondence meeting with constituents verbal communications with constituents and serving as a liaison with federal district and local agencies.
- Determine appropriate course of action and address issue with relevant agencies.
- Follow up with relevant agencies to track progress and ensure resolution.
- Log all requests into the database and maintain up-to-date files on all cases.
- Continually monitor active cases and act as liaison with constituents to ensure that their cases are handled in a responsive manner.
- Serve as a representative at community events and meetings.
- Prepare reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills required:
- Bilingual fluency/high proficiency.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public in person by phone and written correspondence
- Travel to community outreach events statewide to actively participate display and state distribute materials
- Skills in organization assessment and research.
Work hours:
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Lunch hour(unpaid): 1 hour
