The Role
dss services fall into three core areasoperational risk management operational excellence and sustainabilityeach bolstered by learning development and culture change solutions and digital technologies. Teams around the globe work with clients in metals and mining chemicals oil and gas power and utilities agriculture food and beverage industrial and manufacturing and private equity.
You will work with leading industrial companies to improve their footprint keep their people and communities safe and deliver value to our clients transforming their cultures processes and capabilities for sustainable long-term results and at all levels from executives to operators.
We are currently hiring broadly at the Analyst level with a particular focus on metals and mining manufacturing and oil and gas. Were ideally looking for someone whos worked in those specific industry sectors but were always eager to connect with talented people whose paths might look a little different.
Responsibilities:
Work on complex client engagements with experienced dss Consultants Managers and Industry subject-matter experts; gather and analyze information formulate and test hypotheses and develop and communicate recommendations.
Analyze data operational processes and risks to identify improvement opportunities
Participate in client meetings and workshops helping frame problems and explore solutions
Support risk management discussions and help structure frameworks for operational risk analysis
Track project progress analyze KPIs and support the delivery of key milestones
Use tools like Excel PowerPoint and Power BI to analyze and visualize data
Learn and apply new analytical tools and technologies as part of your development
Qualifications:
A self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and must be driven to produce improvement initiatives both internally and with clients
You must have excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills to provide relevant recommendations and maintain high stakeholder satisfaction levels
Exceptional interpersonal skills and team working attitude to be able to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
High level of proficiency with PowerPoint Visio Word Advanced Excel Access and ideally visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Willingness and ability to travel and work on client sites as required
Interest in developing expertise across all aspects of our clients operations
Some prior exposure to consulting and/or industrial operations environment
BA/BS in a business-related major or engineering. A post-graduate qualification will be beneficial
