Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cash Applications Specialist to join our Finance team in São this role you will be responsible for accurately applying incoming payments resolving customer account discrepancies and supporting month-end close activities. Your work will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and ensuring an exceptional customer financial experience.
Key Duties:
- Process and apply daily customer payments (bank transfers lockbox ACH credit card etc.) to customer accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile customer payments and research unapplied or unidentified cash.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers internal teams and banking partners regarding payment issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks reporting and account reconciliations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for cash application processes and automation.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Cash Applications.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP Oracle JD Edwards or similar).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate professionally in Portuguese and English (intermediate/advanced).
Preferred
- Experience in multinational or shared services environments.
- Familiarity with banking platforms and automated cash posting tools.
