Assists in grant-in-aide research by gathering background data and preparing brief reports and synopses of information collected;
Prepares illustrative graphs tables and maps; and compiles data to outline the results of particular studies;
Helps maintain clear and concise records on federal and state grants received and on applications prepared;
Assists in preparing status reports on grant programs;
Assists in performing research on the impact of proposed regulations and/or legislation on municipal activities;
Assists in providing information to County departments municipalities private non-profit agencies and elected officials on grant-in-aid programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OPEN COMPETITIVE
EITHER:
(a) Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree;
OR
(b) Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of experience in preparing researching and/or monitoring grants from state or federal sources;
OR
(c) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).
This Role Is A Provisional Appointment
A provisional appointment which occurs only in the competitive class is a temporary appointment to a position for which no eligible list exists or for which an eligible list exists with fewer than three candidates who are willing to accept the order to become permanent the employee who is provisionally appointed must take the next examination for the position in question. The appointment to the position is then made from among the three highest scoring passing candidates who indicate their willingness to accept the position. Civil Service law does not compel the appointing authority to choose the provisional employee should he or she be one of the three candidates
