We are seeking an experienced Traffic Manager to provide leadership and direction to Traffic Management teams working on the Te Pae o Tararua Ōtaki to North of Levin(Ō2NL) highway project.
About Ō2NL
TheTe Pae o Tararua Ōtaki to North of Levin highway will improve safety resilience and transport connections for the regions growing population. The project is delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi Muaūpoko Tribal Authority local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and Horowhenua District Council.
Delivered through a two-alliance model the project brings together leading organisations to construct the highway and associated works. Together partners are committed to treading lightly on the whenua while creating a lasting positive legacy for the region.

This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering safe efficient and commercially successful traffic management operations while building strong stakeholder relationships and developing team capability for long-term success.
Deliver profitable and efficient traffic management operations
Identify and grow local business and development opportunities
Build and strengthen positive stakeholder relationships
Ensure robust financial and operational practices aligned with company policies and systems
Develop team capability to support the long-term success and sustainability of the business
Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills
Youre an experienced Traffic Management professional with strong leadership capability and a solid understanding of NZ industry standards. You bring a practical solutions-focused approach with the ability to lead teams manage operations and build strong relationships across stakeholders.
STMS Level 2/B (or equivalent) and a full Class 1 Driver Licence
TMP experience (advantegous)
Strong working knowledge of CoPTTM and NZ traffic management requirements
Proven leadership experience in traffic management civil or infrastructure environments
Ability to effectively manage teams resources and budgets
Strong risk management problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
