About the role
As a Travel Sales Specialist you will act as a high-level consultant for global clients. You wont just book trips; you will architect travel solutions by navigating complex reward systems to unlock impossible value. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and execute high-value travel bookings by leveraging a deep understanding of bank-to-airline/hotel transfer ratios and seasonal award availability.
- Advise global clients on the most efficient way to utilize their points portfolios ensuring they achieve the highest possible Return on Investment (ROI) for every mile spent.
- Maintain an expert-level grasp of the US banking industrys credit card rewards landscape staying ahead of devaluations new card launches and transfer bonuses.
- Handle the heavy lifting of complex multi-segment award bookings that require manual intervention and deep system knowledge.
Required Expertise
- The Points Specialist: You possess a granular nerdy understanding of the points and miles industry. You know the difference between a fixed-value point and a transferable currency by heart.
- System Expert: You are fluent in the ecosystems of major US issuers (Chase Ultimate Rewards Amex Membership Rewards Citi ThankYou etc.) and their specific airline/hotel partners.
- Complex Problem Solving: You have a proven track record of navigating phantom availability married segments and the nuances of various airline alliance booking engines.
- Travel Aficionado: You are a veteran of the travel world who understands that the best flight isnt just the most expensive oneits the one booked with the most strategic use of assets.
Profile & Experience
- You likely come from a travel-heavy background where youve mastered the art of travel hacking or award booking at a professional or elite enthusiast level.
- Financial Context: While you dont need to be a banker you must understand the US banking industrys credit card products and how they interface with travel loyalty programs.
