1Provide process safety and Management of Change (MOC) expertise within the Technology Projects & Execution TP&E including Asset Retirement Capital Projects O&T CRE Labs both US domestic and international. Ensure compliance with Chevron Operational Excellence (OE) standards regulatory requirements and internal MOC procedures. Drive proactive risk management verification and continuous improvement to safeguard personnel assets and operations during change implementation.Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate temporary and permanent MOC reviews across TPE functions.
Ensure compliance with OEMS elements regulatory standards and MOC-specific protocols.
Conduct routine quality checks at each MOC stage that covers proper change description justification attached documents completed functional reviews with checklists and action items closed action items with documentation completed Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and MOC closeout ensuring updated documentationwith ongoing improvements planned for the process.
Monitor and report risk and compliance performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Manage formal approvals and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for applicable changes.
Conduct quarterly quality checks and annual self-evaluations of the MOC process.
Maintain documentation in MOC Online Tool and SharePoint for traceability and audit readiness.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and integrate lessons learned into MOC practices collaborate with TEC MOC Specialist.
Collaborate with engineering operations and HSE teams to ensure alignment on safety and change objectives.
Collaborate with Chevron Process Safety team and HSE teams to evaluate process safety trends in each phase of work to expose opportunities during design build and operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemical Mechanical Safety Engineering or related field.
4 to 8 years of experience in process safety or MOC coordination within oil & gas operations.
Strong knowledge of OEMS frameworks risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational analytical and communication skills
Familiarity with Chevron MOC procedures and OE governance.
Experience in risk screening PSSR facilitation and change verification.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in digital tools for MOC tracking and reporting (e.g. Maximo SharePoint).
Strong collaboration and mentoring skills within engineering and HSE teams
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
