Job Summary
City Bean Roasters is looking for a friendly production assistant and sales associate to join our team. We seek someone with high attention to detail and a positive mindset who likes to support a process and see it through.
We operate a wholesale production roastery with a small retail shop in front (beans only no drinks). We need part-time entry-level coverage in both areas and are open to hiring different candidates for each role or hiring them as a hybrid position for full-time hours.
As a production assistant you will provide crucial assistance to our crew of roasters by bagging coffee preparing green coffee batches for roasting and packing orders for shipment. Additionally perform daily maintenance in our warehouse and roasting rooms weekly preventative maintenance on our two vintage Probat coffee roasters as well as receiving and organizing green coffee shipments in the warehouse. You will learn about and drink delicious high quality coffee in an employee-centered environment with a tight-knight passionate team.
As a sales associate you will be the face of City Beans retail shop where we sell coffee direct-to-consumer. Youll be the smiling face each person sees as they walk through the door and ready to guide them to learn more about City Bean and our products. You will also be responsible for answering phones and addressing inquiries from our wholesale and retail customers or directing calls and messages to the appropriate staff member. You will also be given other side work as needed during your shift to help the roastery keep running smoothly.

Qualifications :
Production Assistant:
- Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly
- Ability to lift 160 pounds with team mate
- Ability to lift 30 pounds above head
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Experience in manufacturing packaging facility and machine maintenance a plus
- Coffee production experience a plus
Sales Associate:
- Actively engage with each customer to provide a warm and inviting experience
- Willing to learn and become knowledgeable in our products and services
- A helpful friendly and patient attitude to handle inquiries and concerns
- Familiarity with Point of Sale systems and cash handling
- Comfortable learning new systems
Both roles:
