Job Description: We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Mine General Worker to join our team in Durban. As a Mine General Worker you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the operations of the mine. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment - Operating machinery and equipment as directed by the supervisor - Cleaning and maintaining work areas including sweeping shoveling and removing debris - Assisting with the installation and maintenance of underground infrastructure - Conducting regular safety checks and reporting any hazards or incidents to the supervisor - Participating in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge - Adhering to all company policies and procedures including safety regulations - Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a mining or construction environment is an asset - Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment is preferred - Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in a demanding environment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Willingness to work in a remote location and in all weather conditions - Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
