Founded in 1999 eTEC Mechanical is a full-service mechanical contractor providing engineering installation and maintenance for HVAC plumbing piping and fire protection systems. We provide diverse mechanical services to meet our customers needs ranging from engineering and installing heating and cooling systems to maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial HVAC and fire protection systems. eTECs mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC plumbing piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single source mechanical contractor. We are the only mechanical service provider in central Virginia able to efficiently provide professional in-house engineering installation and maintenance for HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems to the commercial and industrial market.
Job Title:
Sheet Metal Apprentice- Fabrication Shop
Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of HVAC-Sheet Metal functions including performing and coordinating the installation repair and service of HVAC-Sheet Metal systems on a commercial job site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs various shop tasks associated with the HVAC sheet metal trade.
- Construct duct work
- Coordinate with other trades in efficient and timely job completion.
- Perform Related work as required
- Ensure safe work practices and adheres to safety rules/policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a construction or other physically demanding jobs.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade and general construction environment.
- Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the sheet metal trade.
- Physical activities include standing balancing climbing stairs and ladders walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. are required.
