Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enroll & participate in our U.S. Department of Labor recognized Tool & Die Apprenticeship Program via Ivy Tech course work and on-the-job training; as specified in our Standards of Apprenticeship Agreement
- Assist with repairs and/or modifications to all tools and fixtures
- Assist technical services in machine repair change over set up and operation as required
- Safely operate all tool room equipment
- Assist with assembling and disassembling tooling dies gauges etc.
- Assist with trouble shooting and resolution of tooling issues
- Work with various materials such as general steels tool steels and advance high strength steels
- Work with a variety of tooling machinery; lathes mills grinders drill press jigs & fixtures CNC equipment TIG welding etc.
- Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment
- Must be able to work any shift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or equivalent experience
