A Day in the Life
This position has the responsibility and authority to the Chargebacks and Tracings Team at Medtronic and is responsible for researching and resolving chargeback contract errors and disputes as sales tracing reports and chargeback claims from our established distribution partners and hospital warehouse systems are processed. Each month the team works under a tight deadline to receive and process a large amount of data from over 100 distributors. The data received from the distributors and hospital warehouse systems is received via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or Excel. The data is required to be posted by each fiscal month end as it is used for sales compensation purposes as well as provides visibility to where Medtronic products are being used. This position reports into the and works closely with other administrators and analysts in the Rebates and Tracings Department.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Solid understanding of contract pricing and business rules for customer pricing and contract eligibility
- Working in the AS400/PARTNER system to understand and resolve contract and rebate errors in a timely and efficient manner each month
- Responsible for sending out the add bill/variance report each month within the required timeline in accordance with the Distributor Policies and Procedures
- Analyze root cause for reoccurring contract discrepancies and work with distributors to get contract eligibility in sync
- Responsible for reviewing distributor resubmissions to research and confirm if the distributor claim is valid/correct
- Participate in conference calls with distributors to discuss and work through high dollar issues
- Assist with sales inquiries that may result in corrections for unit of measure customer cross reference and different contract eligibility issues
- Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts; track add bill dollars reviewed standard monthly meetings to review metrics and other special events as needed
- Work on special projects as required
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Three years in contract work and analytical finance
- Contract Analytics
- Finance in general
- Excel proficiency
- Fluent English
- Advantageous to have SAP experience
