Job Summary
As a Lead Test Development Engineer at Jabil Inc. you will be responsible for leading the design development and implementation of automated test solutions for complex electronic products. This role involves guiding a team ensuring test strategies align with product requirements and optimizing test processes for efficiency and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of test development engineers providing technical guidance and support.
* Design develop and implement comprehensive test plans strategies and procedures for new and existing products focusing on automation.
* Select specify and integrate test equipment fixtures and software platforms.
* Develop and debug test scripts and programs using various programming languages (e.g. Python C# LabVIEW).
* Collaborate closely with design manufacturing and quality teams to define test requirements and ensure testability.
* Conduct root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions.
* Optimize test processes for efficiency yield and cost-effectiveness.
* Generate and maintain detailed test documentation including test specifications reports and validation records.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test methodologies and technologies.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related technical field. Masters degree preferred.
* 7 years of experience in test development engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role.
* Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation (e.g. Python C# LabVIEW).
* Extensive experience with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers power supplies and data acquisition systems.
* Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design and debug techniques.
* Experience with PCBA functional testing in-circuit testing (ICT) and system-level testing.
* Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
