Role Overview:
As a French Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work within the modern languages department to develop resources implement effective teaching strategies and monitor student progress. Your work will help students gain confidence in speaking listening reading and writing in French while fostering a lifelong interest in language learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality French lessons in line with the school curriculum.
Assess and monitor student progress providing timely feedback and support.
Develop teaching resources lesson plans and departmental schemes of work.
Maintain a positive inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Support extra-curricular language activities including clubs competitions and cultural events.
Contribute to reporting assessment and preparation for examinations.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding health and safety and behaviour policies.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in French or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the modern languages curriculum.
Excellent classroom management organisational and communication skills.
Ability to inspire motivate and challenge students of varying abilities.
Experience in assessment curriculum planning and tracking student progress.
