Role Overview:
As a Physics Teacher you will be responsible for planning delivering and assessing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work collaboratively within the science department to create engaging lesson plans develop teaching resources and support students in achieving their academic potential. Your work will ensure that students develop both strong knowledge of physics concepts and enthusiasm for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons in line with the school curriculum.
Assess and monitor student progress providing feedback to support learning and improvement.
Develop and maintain teaching resources lesson plans and departmental schemes of work.
Maintain a positive safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages engagement and participation.
Support extra-curricular science activities including clubs events and competitions.
Contribute to reporting assessment processes and preparation for examinations.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental initiatives.
Uphold the schools safeguarding health and safety and behaviour policies.
Skills and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in physics or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge in physics and an understanding of the science curriculum.
Excellent classroom management organisational and communication skills.
Ability to motivate inspire and challenge students of varying abilities.
Experience in assessment curriculum planning and tracking student progress.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
