Planning and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across a range of materials and techniques
Teaching pupils safe working practices within workshop environments
Supporting pupils in designing manufacturing and evaluating practical projects
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback to support improvement
Preparing pupils for GCSE coursework and practical assessments
Maintaining a safe organised and well-resourced workshop environment
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Supporting extracurricular activities such as design clubs or competitions
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge within Design Technology
Demonstrate confidence in delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
Possess excellent classroom and workshop management skills
Be organised and capable of managing resources efficiently
