Duration: 183 days Contract Bill Rate: $29/hr
Job Summary
The Materials Management Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining seamless supply chain operations ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of material flow throughout the organization. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor you will support shipping receiving inventory control and customer service functions. This position is essential to keeping production and delivery schedules on track requiring strong organizational skills attention to detail and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities including time-sensitive and temperature-sensitive shipments
- Oversee packaging and timely shipment of finished goods according to specifications
- Receive materials from approved vendors verify quality and ensure accurate inventory recording
- Review and process purchase orders and material receipts
- Maintain inventory accuracy security and accountability through effective controls
- Support production and shipment schedules by ensuring material availability
- Follow established operational procedures and documentation standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments ensuring proper documentation
- Process import/export documentation and ensure compliance
- Prepare shipping bills invoices and related paperwork
- Compare freight charges and coordinate transportation logistics
- Obtain shipping rates schedules and secure carrier capacity
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 3 years in shipping logistics or supply chain operations
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- WMS and ERP systems experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent organizational and teamwork abilities
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

- Knowledge of import/export logistics and compliance
- Forklift certification and warehouse equipment operation
- Transportation coordination and freight management experience
