The position is well-suited for former field hockey players who are ready to take the next step into coaching and contribute to a program withhigh expectationsstrong support and significant potential for growth.
The ideal candidate will:
- Bring coaching experience in field hockey ordemonstratethe ability to translate playing experience into effective teaching.
- Former field hockey playing experience (highschool club or collegiate)stronglypreferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to teach fundamentals build relationships and create a positive accountable team culture.
- Be eager to learn grow and contributewithina collaborative coaching staff.
- Be committed to developing student-athletes of character emphasizing effort discipline and a team-first mentality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in planning and leading practices focused on skill development and team concepts.
- Support game preparation scouting and in-game coaching.
- Help foster a competitive and inclusive team culture aligned with school values.
- Communicate effectively with players families and the coaching staff.
- Contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the program.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to develop players and contribute to building competitive high-character teams.
- Meaningful connections within the club field hockey community are highly desirable.
- A clear commitment to advancing the mission and values of Cranbrook Schools.
