Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Emergency Department (ED) provides high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The RN is responsible for assessing treating and monitoring patients with a wide range of acute and critical conditions while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Assess triage and prioritize patients based on acuity
- Deliver emergency care to patients across multiple age groups
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Respond to critical and life-threatening situations
Clinical Operations
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (Cerner)
- Follow clinical protocols and safety standards
Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure effective communication for patient care continuity
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- AHA Certifications Required:
- NIHSS Certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR
