- Masters degree in Exercise Science Physiology or related field

- Experience/knowledge of assigned sports.
- Working Knowledge of University Conference and NCAA regulations

- Possible supervision of strength and conditioning interns

The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department is seeking a qualified and motivated Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team. This fulltime 12month position reports directly to the Director of Olympic Sports. The coach will support studentathletes and contribute to the mission of the University of Oklahoma the Athletics Department and the Strength and Conditioning staff. Responsibilities include designing developing and implementing sportspecific training programs for assigned individuals and teams.
Essential Functions:
- Research develop design implement and administer comprehensive year-round sport-specific training programs in collaboration with sport coaches.
- Work closely with Nutrition Sports Psychology and Athletic Training to create individualized programs that align with each student-athletes needs restrictions and performance goals.
- Collaborate with medical staff on the rehabilitation of injured student athletes and assist in the decision-making process for return to practice and return to competition status.
- Provide written and verbal updates to supervisors sport coaches medical staff and nutrition personnel.
- Support the Director of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning with all aspects of the Strength & Conditioning program and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Assist the Strength & Conditioning unit with program planning implementation performance testing and data entry.
- Maintain daily organization cleanliness and safety standards of the training facility.
- Participate in scheduled professional development meetings and present on assigned topics.
- Assist in the mentorship and professional development of other performance staff members.
