As a Program Manager you will serve as the primary point of contact for both external and internal customers. Your responsibilities will encompass the successful management of multiple concurrent projects including scheduling monitoring and leading project kickoff and status meetings. You will collaborate closely with customers and sales to develop Statements of Work (SOWs) and manage project scopes.
Additional duties include:
- Proposal generation and follow-up
- Managing customer changes and pursuing change orders
- Creating and assigning project charters
- Monitoring project progress and communicating status to stakeholders
- Resolving planning engineering manufacturing and material/process issues
- Developing project plans budgets and timelines
- Managing project finances and creating financial status indicators
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams from concept to production
- Ensuring accurate documentation for new product designs and manufacturing processes
- Establishing and maintaining configuration control
- Supporting AS9100 procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need to Qualify
To succeed in this role you will need a minimum of 5 years of Program Management experience preferably within the aerospace industry. Specific qualifications include:
- 5 years of experience in contract aerospace manufacturing specifically in machining/assembly projects
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering (or similar); Masters degree preferred
- Experience working with the FAA Aviation Safety Aircraft Certification Service Compliance & Airworthiness Division Local Aircraft Certification Office and Airframe & Services Section
- Proficiency in aerospace process specifications and qualifications
- Strong presentation communication and team leadership skills
- Expertise in MS Office and Project Management software
- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with customer specifications
- Self-starter mentality with a strong focus on customer performance requirements
- Knowledge of Aircraft Cargo Systems
- Prior experience in an AS9100 certified organization
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- PgMP or PMP Certification is a plus
- JIRA experience
- Willingness to travel as required
