Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist AMEA (SEA/ANZ)

About the Role
Flora Food Group is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist with international experience in an FMCG to provide regulatory leadership across South-East Asia Australia and New Zealand.
This role is essential in ensuring product compliance across multiple markets driving regulatory strategies for innovation and maintaining strong partnerships with authorities local associations and third-party service providers. Guiding and supporting the cross-functional teams in the region working closely with Legal & Compliance and with key stakeholders in R&D and Marketing teams
Key Responsibilities
- Food Regulatory and Compliance Expert in AMEA: South-East Asia and ANZ region
- Manage and perform regulatory assessments for new projects and innovations guide R&D team in conducting cross-country compliance checks e.g. regulatory requirements on label compliance new claims ingredients and products categories (plant based /hybrid food products).
- Serve as primary point of contact for the regional cross-functional teams (R&D Marketing QA SC) on regulatory frameworks providing substantiation which may include direct communications to the authorities.
- Train and support the cross-functional teams (R&D/Marketing/SC) on the regulatory framework e.g. product & labelling compliance nutrition & health claims regulatory processes.
- Working with Legal & Compliance plus regional Management Teams
- Collaborate and manage regulatory third-party services providers
- Ensuring strong partnerships with authorities and local associations
- Regulatory Horizon Scanning
Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across South-East Asia and ANZ region. Ensure timely updates to internal stakeholders and Global Regulatory Affairs team with a focus on:
- Food category-specific regulations
- Labelling requirements (legal names nutritional info)
- Nutrition and Health claim
- Regulatory trends
- Regulatory Advocacy and Communication
- Attend regular and ad-hoc external meetings.
- Communicate directly with external stakeholders to shape positions and provide input on regulatory changes.
- Participate in workgroups that are relevant to Flora Food Groups interests.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in food science Regulatory Affairs or related field.
- Minimum 5 - 10 years in Regulatory Affairs with international experience in an FMCG
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the region
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesian (verbal and written)
