ABOUT THE POSITION
This position oversees sales client relationships and account operations for the Contract Meals department driving new business while ensuring strong client retention and service delivery. Through effective systems leadership and collaboration this position supports sustainable revenue and advances FareStarts mission by providing nutritious meals and creating meaningful on-the-job training opportunities for those we serve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
- Develop and implement sales plans to develop a pipeline of potential clients. Conducting lead and opportunity outreach on a regular basis. Maintain records of outreach activities using Salesforce.
- Lead monthly sales meetings highlighting current pipeline and potential reductions of service.
- Identify and engage in networking opportunities proactively building and strengthening relationships with prospective clients to grow the sales pipeline.
- Update Sales Forecast regularly and maintain Lead and Opportunity Dashboard in Salesforce. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on sales plan and marketing materials.
- Manage new contracts and ensure clients are set up correctly in all tracking and accounting systems.
- Maintain client relationship with regular check-ins and site visits as needed.
- Develop and maintain a Client Satisfaction support system to listen respond to and retain current accounts. Conduct monthly/quarterly check-ins as well as objective satisfaction tracking.
- Communicate with clients including sharing menus holiday alerts and other updates as needed.
- Respond promptly to client questions requests concerns and feedback.
- Monitor client feedback trends and implement processes to regularly assess satisfaction escalating insights as needed and driving improvements in client retention.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Manage and maintain current customer relationship management (CRM) system and participate in the design and implementation of any changes or improvements.
- Develop a systematic approach to responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) or soliciting new clients.
- Manage pricing by meal and contract type ensuring updates to pricing at least annually.
- Manage direct reports setting clear priorities ensuring accuracy in systems reporting and client data and maintaining alignment with operational and financial goals.
- Manage daily administrative and coordination workflows ensuring timely execution of production documentation order changes client communication and database management to support consistent high-quality service.
- Collaborate across teams (e.g. fleet and chefs) to ensure quality and efficient service. Report any deficiencies or concerns to department leadership.
- Assist leadership with budgeting and forecast information.
- Support grant and contract reporting by providing data to finance and development teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelors degree in related field and four (4) or more years of experience with sales and/or customer relationship management; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Teams. Ability to work with customized databases and technology and to conduct internet research. Experience with Salesforce.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team within diverse teams and environments.
