JOB SUmmary:
Implement and monitor the technical interface between the Clients shots system and enrolled organizations utilizing medical software for interoperability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical interface between EHR providers and enrolled site locations which includes conducting specification reviews testing modeling and interfacing.
- Oversee EHR software implementation training and support. Conduct meetings and troubleshoot with EHR software and third-party transport vendors regarding message failures. Provide data training and troubleshoot direct connection issues for healthcare providers and medical software companies.
- Perform weekly data quality audits and assist organizations with correcting connectivity errors in their EHRs. Conduct routine reviews of data connectivity and identify duplicate accounts. Assist with consolidation requests and VFC PIN transfers as needed.
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings with the Interoperability Team to review tasks and troubleshoot. Meet weekly with Field Trainers to determine enrollment/reactivation statuses and assist in the data upload process. Hold monthly meetings and communicate progress via emails calls and reports to relevant Immunization Section staff and Field Trainers.
- Participate in updating Clients SHOTS specification documents as directed. Attend trade shows conferences and conventions to continue education on data upload linkages and medical software.
- Strictly comply with all Department data security procedures and policies at all times.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or technical equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in management and electronic health records (EHR) software and/or network administration is mandatory including experience with various account customer types.
- Thorough understanding of data upload technical requirements for the Clients Immunization Information System (IIS) and candidate systems for implementation across doctors offices clinics hospitals and other facilities.
- Thorough specialized understanding of HL7 VXU QBP and Soap web service envelope message formats.
- Knowledge of software vendor web service connection processes and testing for VXU and QBP messages.
- Familiarity with documenting immunizations and setting up vaccine inventory in EHR systems to train organization points of contact.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of CDC vaccine code updates and CDC manufacturer codes.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects/customers simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in using a personal computer and MS Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Must pass a criminal history record check including fingerprinting prior to starting.
