As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Sayville NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in an education location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas perform mobile and/or foot patrols and support daily campus operations with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post. You will help to identify and report security-related concerns remain a visible presence and contribute to a caring reliable team that acts with integrity.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students staff visitors and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and local emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings parking areas walkways and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor student and/or staff movement in accordance with site policies documenting security-related incidents and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Support daily campus operations by assisting with directions reporting hazards or maintenance concerns and following post orders related to arrivals dismissals and after-hours activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
