Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk / Office Administrator to join our dealership team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate vehicle title processing while supporting key administrative and accounting functions within the office.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit vehicle titles and registration paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify legal transfers of documents for state compliance
- Maintain title and vehicle records in accordance with dealership and state requirements
- Handle daily bank deposits and maintain deposit records
- Manage accounts receivable including posting payments and tracking outstanding balances
- Communicate with customers lenders and state agencies regarding title and registration issues
- Assist with general office duties including answering phones and helping customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a title clerk or in an automotive dealership office preferred
- Knowledge of DMV/title processing procedures is a strong plus
- Experience with accounts receivable or basic accounting tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computer systems and dealership management software
- Strong communication and customer service skills
