About this role

Our National Financial Statement Compilation Centre of Excellence is continuing to grow and we are seeking a Senior Associate to join the this role you will play a key part in the preparation of high quality financial statements for audit and non-audit clients nationally using leading technology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for a range of entities including large private not-for-profit and government bodies
  • Preparing financial statements using Accurri
  • Applying accounting standards and drafting of financial statement disclosures
  • Liaising directly with clients and Grant Thornton audit teams to obtain information and resolve disclosure matters
  • Working to deliver accurate consistent and quality outcomes
  • Supporting and reviewing work prepared by junior team members

Skills and experience

This role will suit someone who has:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance and progress toward or completion of CA qualification
  • Experience in preparing or auditing financial statements and applying accounting standards
  • Understanding of financial reporting disclosure requirements
  • Experience using Accurri or similar financial reporting tools or willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confidence working autonomously and collaborating with stakeholders
