As a Power BI developer you will be responsible for designing developing and deploying advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and deploy advanced Power BI reports and interactive dashboards aligned with business requirements.
- Maintain and optimize data analytics platforms to ensure consistently high query and model performance.
- Work with complex Power BI semantic models and large datasets ensuring scalability accuracy and efficiency
- Connect to various data sources and transform data into actionable insights through Power Query.
- Conduct analysis with a strong focus on query optimization and data efficiency
- Evaluate refactor and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance maintainability and scalability.
- Present information through high-performance reports and complex visualizations tailored to business needs
- Create technical documentation to support scalable Power BI solutions
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Train and support end-users on Power BI functionality ensuring they can utilize the tools effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering
Requirements:
- English level B2 or higher
- 4 years of proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI Engineer
- Strong knowledge of SQL with ability to write optimized queries for complex datasets.
- Proficiency with DAX including performance optimization context transition advanced calculations implementing Row-Level Security (RLS)
- Proficiency in Power Query including experience with complex transformations.
- Proven ability to transform complex data into compelling visual reports and dashboards.
- Proficient in data visualization best practices.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Strong technical documentation skills
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience with designing and implementing a data warehouse
- Experience working in Agile environments like Scrum/Kanban
- Experience integrating Power BI reports into websites (Power BI Embedded)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft Business Intelligence and SQL certifications
- Knowledge of CI/CD for Power BI (Deployment Pipelines or Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Fabric Dataflows Lakehouses or Power BI Premium features.
