Job Summary
About the role
As a Turf Manager you will be key in maintaining and enhancing turf areas ensuring they remain lush healthy and resilient. Reporting to the Site Manager this hands-on role based in Toowong involves maintaining and enhancing turf areas implementing sustainable practices delivering exceptional results and leading teams.

Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing line marking irrigation aerating and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces.
- Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests diseases and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices.
- Leading and guiding a team of grounds people and apprentices while on site
- Implement sustainable turf management practices including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.
- Operate and maintain specialised turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules prioritise tasks and deliver exceptional results.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations address concerns and provide turf care recommendations.

About You
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
- A current White Card and a Working with Childrens Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Previous experience in turf management greenkeeping or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of turfgrass species growth habits and maintenance requirements.
- Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery including mowers aerators and sprayers.
- Ongoing safety training programs and resources available.
