Job Description: National Account Delivery Specialist

Interstate Batteries of Boston has been delivering Outrageously Dependable Interstate Brand batteries to the Boston area since the early 70s. Our mission is to make our customers look like heroes to their customers by providing quality products and dependable service.
Position Summary
As the National Account Delivery Specialist you will be responsible for the delivery of weekly orders to accounts who are on a National Program with Interstate Batteries of America and other Deliver to Order local accounts. You will be expected to build and maintain relationships with the local Parts Managers assist in the managing of their battery inventory and processing of return products.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering of National and Deliver to Order accounts local locations.
- Understanding and managing the programs set up by IBSA for each individual national account program.
Manage daily deliveries as scheduled and ensuring accuracy of orders upon delivery.
Shelving the product on location.
Processing product returns and rotations.
The pick up processing of scrap batteries from local accounts.
Working with the Warehouse team in building loading and unloading a days deliveries.
Gaining and growing sales of products beyond the standard National Account Program.
Coordinating regular truck maintenance with the Route Sale Director.
Ability to work with accounts to resolve problems.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
The ability to process and handle payments made by customers.
Qualifications
A current and valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Good communication Skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to read write and do basic math.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to use both laptop/desktop computer systems as well as a handheld computer system.
Ability to regularly lift up to 60Lbs and team lift up to 180Lbs.
Able to work a Pallet Jack lift gate and other equipment.
Ability to pass a drug test.
Ability to use and follow driving directions and attention to roadways with vehicle restriction.
Must be willing and able to be exposed to dirt and dust fumes temperature extremes dampness and battery acid on a regular basis.
Must be willing and able to wear the required safety/PPE when performing duties which includes steel toe shoes and protective gloves when handling batteries
Neat and clean appearance.
Preferred
Experience with sales or merchandising.
Availability to work Saturdays as needed or required by the company.
Experience driving a vehicle with air brakes.
Familiarity with and ability to navigate through the towns we operate in.
