Your future duties and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Administration and Control for the Payroll Service Centre the successful candidate will act as an advisor in government remittance management.

- Manages payments of various remittances to governments and other organizations according to prescribed deadlines.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of payments by performing various validations.
- Makes necessary adjustments or corrections to payments from organizations.
- Balances and reconciles payments made.
- Acts as a resource person with various organizations to negotiate client situations.
- Provides support to members of operational teams.
- Participates in account analyses.
- Participates in the implementation of new remittances or changes.
- Applies procedures and processes to maintain certifications for financial and operational controls (SOX ISO 3416).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Demonstrates rigor attention to detail autonomy and strong prioritization skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- College diploma (AEC) in accounting or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and develop expertise
- Interest in continuous improvement and process optimization
- Knowledge of payroll (a significant asset)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $40 000$65 000. This role is an existing vacancy.
