The Senior Account & Acquisition Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across both existing and new customers by combining deep account management capability with proactive acquisition sales expertise.

This role partners with strategic customers as a trusted advisor while also identifying developing and closing highvalue complex technology solutions that contribute to Telstras growth profitability and market presence.

You will balance portfolio retention and expansion with new opportunity creation leveraging strong commercial acumen industry insight and crossfunctional collaboration to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management & Customer Growth

  • Establish grow and maintain longterm strategic relationships with assigned customers through deep understanding of their business strategies technology needs and growth priorities.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement and account plans that retain expand and optimize core telecommunications and emerging technology revenue.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders providing consultative guidance aligned to Telstras capabilities and market insights.
  • Lead or contribute to customer initiatives such as business advisory sessions workshops and strategic planning engagements that drive portfolio growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively manage account governance ensuring structured engagement clear ownership and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately forecast track and manage pipeline performance in line with reporting and governance requirements.

Acquisition & Opportunity Development

  • Identify develop and close new highvalue and complex sales opportunities within existing and target customer segments.
  • Lead the endtoend sales lifecycle including lead identification qualification solution development negotiation and closure.
  • Develop opportunity plans that align customer needs competitive positioning and Telstras strategic objectives to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Apply strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills to drive compelling business cases and valueled solutions for customers.

Solution & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Leverage strong technical and commercial knowledge to articulate the value of Telstras network and business strategy to CSuite and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate authentically with internal teams including Business Development Managers Solution Specialists Presales Delivery and Functional Specialists to design and deliver customercentric solutions.
  • Navigate complex multistakeholder environments to align customer outcomes with Telstras commercial and operational priorities.

Commercial & Risk Management

  • Drive profitability through disciplined opportunity qualification pricing awareness and solution alignment.
  • Identify and address aged debtor risks within assigned portfolios working with relevant internal teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance commercial and risk management frameworks

What Success Looks Like

  • Strong retention and expansion of existing customer portfolios
  • Consistent acquisition of new revenue through highvalue opportunities
  • Accurate forecasting and maintenance of a healthy highquality sales pipeline
  • High levels of customer satisfaction reflected in Net Promoter Score (NPS) outcomes
  • Trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in complex account management and/or acquisition sales ideally within international carrier service provider or hyperscaler environments
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling of complex network or telecommunications solutions
  • Proven experience engaging and managing senior stakeholders navigating complex buying groups and decisionmaking processes
  • Strong capability in sales planning execution forecasting and commercial negotiation
  • Solid understanding of telecommunications/technology industry global network data center and associated technologies with the ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes
  • Ability to balance customer advocacy with commercial performance delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Highly developed influencing communication and presentation skills including at executive level
  • Strong collaboration skills working effectively across diverse multidisciplinary and matrixed teams
  • Customercentric and outcomedriven mindset with a strong focus on value creation
  • Strategic thinker with the discipline to execute and deliver results
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous fastpaced and evolving environments
