Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop an engineering team supporting custom-engineered electrical products in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving execution improving processes and ensuring high-quality on-time delivery of engineering outputs.
This is a hands-on leadership position focused on team development operational performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day engineering activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings and project requirements
Partner cross-functionally with sales operations supply chain and project management to support production schedules and customer needs
Manage team workload priorities and resources to meet deadlines and performance goals
Develop and mentor engineering staff providing coaching feedback and support for growth
Drive process improvements workflow efficiency and standardization across engineering functions
Track and analyze key performance metrics (delivery quality throughput) to improve team performance
Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting productivity and output
Support strategic initiatives including tools systems and process enhancements
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field
8 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
3 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
Experience supporting engineered-to-order or custom product environments
Strong understanding of power distribution equipment (low and/or medium voltage preferred)
Proven experience with process improvement standardization and performance metrics
Strong leadership communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
