Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and development of new products and technologies for retail (commercial) andindustrial refrigeration that meet industry and internal organizational requirements for costeffectiveness accuracy functionality performance and reliability Should be proficient inSystem Modeling Techniques for Thermal Systems
- Thermodynamic energy and economic analysis of proposed components and systems CO2 Refrigeration systems
- Work with component vendors and Hillphoenix engineering teams to identify and incorporate design improvements into existing system designs Support New Product Development (NPD) team with the design testing and launch of new equipment and platforms and with idea generations design and deployment of productivity projects
- Detailed investigation of refrigeration systems components and display cases Establish and share best practices within the R&D group Technology transfer of developed products and technologies to other departments
- Work with component vendors and Hillphoenix engineering teams to identify and incorporate design improvements into existing system designs Support New Product Development (NPD) team with the design testing and launch of new equipment and platforms and with idea generations design and deployment of productivity projects.
Must have Skills:
- Sound knowledge in math physics thermodynamics heat transfer and fluid mechanics Physics-based modeling and analysis of thermal system
- Experience with design construction and operation of experimental facilities or test stations Experience with data analysis and presentation
- Experience with design application and programming of data acquisition systems (National Instruments LabView preferred)
- Working knowledge of controls and a familiarity with PLC programming
- Industry knowledge in the following areas: o Retail (commercial) and industrial refrigeration design o Advanced CO2 refrigeration systems o Hydrocarbon refrigeration systems
