Within Patheon part of Thermo Fisher Scientific in Tilburg we are responsible for the development and production of commercial medicines in dosed forms soft gel Capsules.
The job:
As a Team Leader Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will contribute to operational excellence while enabling our mission to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. You will guide a team responsible for manufacturing operations ensuring the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency. Working in a cGMP environment youll oversee daily production activities develop team members and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and meet customer demands.
You will support a culture of operational excellence by implementing lean manufacturing principles and maintaining compliance with quality standards. Through effective leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams youll ensure on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional product quality. Your role will be instrumental in developing talent improving processes and contributing to our companys growth and success in serving science.
The work is conducted in shifts and the production consists of the departments: Gel/Medicine/Tank wash Dispensing/Encapsulation and Post the Gel/Medicine departments the Gelatin and the Medicine (respectively the casing and the filling of a capsule) are manufactured.
Requirements:
Advanced Degree or Bachelors Degree 2 years preferred of manufacturing experience in a leadership role
Preferred Fields of Study: science engineering or related field
Technical certifications or military technical training may be considered
Strong knowledge of cGMP ISO standards and quality management systems
Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams of 5-12 direct reports
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with data-driven decision making
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels/fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
Experience with production scheduling and resource planning
Other:
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and overtime as needed
Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Demonstrated success improving safety quality and efficiency metrics
Experience conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to work in cleanroom environments and follow strict safety protocols
Experience with performance management and employee development
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards
