Job Summary

Job Summary: Inpatient Behavioral Health Clinician

- Conduct initial clinical assessments for individuals with acute care needs per state mental health requirements.
- Develop and communicate initial treatment plans to multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead treatment and discharge planning in collaboration with psychiatrists and team members.
- Provide group therapy individual and family counseling sessions.
- Assist in patient care planning to support ongoing treatment and health preservation.
- Evaluate medical and psychosocial needs for home care and arrange community services.
- Link patients with appropriate programs and services during hospitalization and post-discharge.
- Help patients/families obtain necessary equipment for safe home functioning.
- Support decision-making for patient placement in suitable facilities when needed.
- Coordinate voluntary community-based services for patients and families.
- Act as a liaison between patients and community agencies.
- Assess suitability of community services to meet patient needs.
- Initiate crisis prevention and intervention services for discharged patients.
- Provide coverage for Inpatient and Partial Hospital Program Behavioral Health Clinicians.
- Communicate with managed care companies to secure appropriate care approvals.
- Stay updated on regulatory standards (CMS DPH DMH etc.).
- Assist with community relations outreach and education activities.
- Deliver excellent service to patients families visitors and colleagues.
- Perform additional work-related duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- Strong English communication skills.
- Massachusetts licensure (LICSW LMHC LCSW LMFT or PhD in Psychology).
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
