Job Summary
Data Engineer

4 days onsite
$80/hr CAD
*BGV must be fully cleared
*Subcontracting permitted by end client
*End client assets required
Job Description/ Responsibilities
Must have
Bachelors degree in information management Computer Science Business or a related field.
3 years in data lineage data governance data management or a related role.
Strong understanding of data governance principles the data lifecycle from collection through storage and usage as well as metadata and lineage management concepts and practices.
Proficiency in data governance tools Advanced SQL metadata management and data lineage concepts. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) is a plus.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cultural change.
Proficient with Advanced SQL Python and other data querying language
Proficient with Microsoft Excel macros formulas and pivot tables.
Nice-to-have
AML Fraud and Payment Domain experience
Strong understanding of software development principles including design patterns
Experience with Big Data ecosystem (Spark Hadoop) cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and MLOps tools.
Experience work in an Agile development environment
